Jimmy Mars Heads into DLM Dream Following Runner-Up at Cedar Lake Speedway

MENOMONIE, WISC (June 4) - Jimmy Mars was in action at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin on Saturday evening, May 30, as the track hosted its popular 'Triple Crown' event. Jimmy, who piloted the #21 owned by his brother-in-law Scott Gilberts in the single-day showdown, won his heat race and later started the $3,000 to win feature from the inside of the fourth row. The Menomonie, Wisconsin star then worked his way past five competitors on the rough, choppy track surface to garner a strong runner-up finish in the 40-lapper behind only winner Brent Larson. Complete results from CLS can be accessed by clicking on www.cedarlakespeedway.com.

The Mars Racing team has made the trek to the Buckeye State for the 21st Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream' presented by Ferris Commercial Mowers. The hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio will play host to the three-day crown jewel extravaganza from June 4-6. The 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' which will be sanctioned by the UMP DIRTcar Series, is the richest Dirt Late Model race in the world with a whopping $100,000 going to the winner of Saturday night's 100-lap feature event.

A total purse of $306,625 is available for the three nights of racing, which will kick off with Twin 25 main events on both Thursday and Friday. Jimmy was the 1997 victor of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream' and has made eight feature starts in the historic race.
