R.J. Conley Sweeps Memorial Day Weekend Action at Atomic and Portsmouth

WHEELERSBURG, OH (May 28) - Wheelersburg, Ohio ace R.J. Conley picked up two more feature wins over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend in his home state of Ohio! On Saturday evening, May 23 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, R.J. set Fast Time during qualifying, won his heat race, and later took the lead in the weekly feature event with ten laps remaining to bag the $2,000 payday over Duane Chamberlain and Jason Montgomery. Delmas Conley came home in the fifth position, while Rod Conley finished sixth and J.T. Conley crossed underneath the checkers in ninth.

At Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Sunday night, May 24, R.J. laid down the fastest lap during the qualifying session and finished fourth in the fast dash. He then inherited the point with 17 laps to go in the A-Main when leader Jackie Boggs tangled with a lapped car. R.J. went on to record the $2,000 top prize over his dad Delmas, who charged from the eighth starting spot to second. Rod came home seventh in the PRP season opener, while J.T. followed closely behind in the eighth finishing position. Complete results from both Buckeye State venues can be viewed online at www.atomicspeedway.net and www.portsraceway.com.

R.J. will look to continue his fantastic 2015 racing season this Saturday night, May 30 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The 29th Annual 'Ralph Latham Memorial,' which will be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, will pay $10,000 to the winner. Delmas is scheduled to tackle Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday for another $2,000 to win weekly program, while Rod and J.T. will both take their racing talents to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio for a $2,000 to win Super Late Model battle.
