R.J. Conley Beats Foes for Buckeye 25 Victory at Southern Ohio Speedway

WHEELERSBURG, OH (May 21) - R.J. Conley celebrated in victory lane for the third time in 2015 on Friday night, May 15 at the nearby Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio! R.J. posted the quickest lap during the qualifying session to earn Fast Time honors and later finished fourth in the fast dash. After starting the 'Buckeye 25' from the outside of the second row, R.J. survived an opening lap scrape and wound up leading from flag-to-flag to pocket the $3,000 windfall. Finishing behind his #71c at the checkers were Stephen Breeding, Steve Casebolt, Kenneth Howell, and Steve Lucas!

Rod Conley ran second in his heat race, which allowed him to start the unsanctioned feature from the outside of the fifth row. "Hot Rod" was then able to move past a couple of racecars to finish eighth in the final rundown. Delmas Conley broke a valve spring during hot laps and J.T. Conley was involved in a wreck during the dash, which cost both Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) drivers a chance to start the 'Buckeye 25.' Complete results from Southern Ohio Speedway can be accessed online at www.southernohiospeedway.com.

All four CMI pilots will return to Super Late Model competition over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend. On Saturday night, May 23, they will travel to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio for a $2,000 to win regular weekly program, while a similar show will be held on Sunday evening, May 24 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. You can learn more about each of these races by logging onto www.atomicspeedway.net and www.portsraceway.com.

The respective #71 teams would like to thank the following companies for their support this season: Conley Trucking, Conley River Terminal, Rocket Chassis, Poske's Performance Parts, Shain Custom Decals, Draime Racing Engines, Impact Race Gear, Ohlins Shocks, Joe Gibbs Driven Oil, Mason Racin', Bazell Race Fuels, Beyea Headers, Champion Racing Oil, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), UniFirst Uniforms, Sunoco Race Fuels, Allstar Performance, Delph Communications, Accu-Force Shock Dynos, Quarter Master, Out-Pace Racing Products, Design 500, Hoosier Racing Tires, and Wiles Driveshafts.
