Jimmy Mars on Podium at Red Cedar; LOLMDS Double-Dip in Wisconsin and Illinois Next

MENOMONIE, WISC (May 14) - Mars Racing made the short tow to Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin on Friday evening, May 8 for a regular weekly Late Model program. Jimmy Mars won his heat race in preliminary action and later started from the inside of the third row in the A-Main. The Menomonie ace then worked his way past two competitors during the sprint to finish third behind only race winner Mike Prochnow and runner-up Jake Redetzke. Jimmy and his #28 team will return to the national scene in a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles over the upcoming May 15-16 weekend. Weather pending, the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway in Oshkosh, Wisconsin will play host to a single-day shootout tomorrow night, while LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois will do the same on Saturday evening.
