Billy Moyer Sets Sights on Third Dirt Track World Championship Title at PRP

BATESVILLE, AR (October 15) - Following a rare weekend off from racing action, Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) bolted into Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on October 10-11 for the annual running of the 'Magnolia State Cotton Pickin' 100.'  The unsanctioned mega-event drew a whopping 72 competitors to "The Mag" and each driver had their focus set on bagging the hefty $20,000 winner's check.

Billy Moyer knocked down the twenty-first quickest lap overall during the qualifying session on Friday night and later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race behind only prelim winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Rick Eckert.  After starting Saturday's 100-lap grind from the outside of the seventh row, Billy wound up eighteenth in the final finishing order of the 'Magnolia State Cotton Pickin' 100.'  Complete results from Magnolia can be accessed online at www.magnoliadirt.com.

Next up for the #21 BMR team will be a trip to the Buckeye State on October 17-18 for the final event of the 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season.  The Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio will once again play host to the 34th edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship.'  Qualifying and heat races will take place at PRP on Friday night, while the consolation events and the 100-lap main event are slated for Saturday evening.  As is the norm, a massive $50,000 payday will be on the line in the DTWC, while each feature starter will receive at least $2,000.

The television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand in south-central Ohio this weekend to tape all of the dirt-slinging action for broadcast on several networks later in the year.  Billy is a two-time 'Dirt Track World Championship' winner (1996, 1986) and ran seventh in last year's version of the storied race.  Additional information concerning the crown jewel extravaganza can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.

BMR would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support:  Henderson Motorsports, Banner Valley Hauling, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Car City, Clements Racing Engines, Karl Chevrolet, Jack's CARQUEST, New Vision Graphics, Red Line Oil, Sparks Motorsports, Watters Autoland, Moyer Xtreme by Longhorn, Allstar Performance, Arizona Sports Shirts, Bell Helmets, Bert Transmission, Beyea Headers, BSB Manufacturing, ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems, C&R Racing, Champ Pans, Cizmar Racing Supply, Deatherage Opticians, Delph Communications, Eibach Springs, F.A.S.T., FK Rod Ends, Hawk Brakes, Hoosier Racing Tire, Intercomp, ISC Racers Tape, Kluhsman Racing Components, Mason Racin', Midwest Sheet Metal, MSD Ignition, Ohlins Shocks, Performance Bodies, Performance Rod & Custom, Peterson Fluid Systems, Rockhard Powder Coating, Scott Performance Wire, Stealth Carburetion, Sunoco Race Fuels, Sweet Mfg., Turbo Start Batteries, TWM Manufacturing, Weld Racing Wheels, and Wiles Racing Driveshafts.
