Dennis Erb, Jr. Eyes Doubleheader in St. Louis Area Following Solid World 100 Weekend

CARPENTERSVILLE, ILL (September 11) - The Dennis Erb Racing team rolled into the hallowed grounds of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 4-6 for the 44th edition of the 'World 100.'  The three-day crown jewel extravaganza once again kicked off with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs, which boasted two $5,000 winners each night.  On Thursday, Dennis Erb, Jr. started his weekend by finishing third in his heat race and seventeenth in his 25-lap main event.  At the "Big E" on Friday evening, Dennis won his heat race and ran up front early in his 25-lapper before eventually netting a solid seventh place performance.

When the stakes were raised on Saturday night at Eldora Speedway, all eyes were focused on the prestigious globe trophy and the $47,000 top prize.  Dennis finished fourth in his loaded heat race and later advanced into the 'World 100' by virtue of his fourth place effort in his B-Main.  After starting the 100-lap grind from the inside of the fourteenth row, the Carpentersville, Illinois standout was able to move up twelve positions during the extra-distance affair to record a fifteenth place showing.  Complete results from the action-packed 'World 100' weekend can be accessed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Dennis and his #28 team have a pair of high-profile races in the states of Illinois and Missouri circled on their racing calendar for the upcoming September 12-13 weekend.  The 'St. Louis Showdown' features a pair of $10,000 paydays on Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and on Saturday at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri.  A complete show for the UMP Late Models will be held at both St. Louis-area facilities this weekend.  Additional information can be obtained by pointing your web browser to www.tricityspeedway.net and www.i55raceway.com.
