Conley Motorsports, Inc. Ready for Busy Racing Weekend in Southern Ohio

WHEELERSBURG, OH (July 16) - Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Delmas Conley was the lone Conley Motorsports, Inc. driver in competition over the July 11-12 weekend, as he made a rare trip to Elkins Raceway in Kerens, West Virginia for a pair of $5,000 to win Elite 8 showdowns.  On Friday night in the 'Jim Hitt Memorial,' Delmas qualified well and later finished sixth in the dash, but mechanical woes early in the 50-lap feature relegated the Wheelersburg, Ohio standout to a twenty-second place performance.  In the annual 'Richard Skidmore Memorial' at Elkins on Saturday evening, Delmas won his heat race in preliminary action, but was the first retiree in the 50-lap main event to wind up twentieth in the final finishing order.  Full results from Elkins Raceway can be accessed online at www.elkinsraceway.net.

All four Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers will get back into the swing of things this week, as several high-profile shows are on tap in southern Ohio.  Delmas, Rod, R.J., and J.T. Conley all have a trio of events on their tentative schedule for this week - starting with two $5,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals battles.  The ultra-popular "Hell Tour" will roll into Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio tonight, July 16 and to Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio on Thursday, July 17.  R.J. is the defending winner of the Summer Nationals stop at Brushcreek and will be gunning for two wins in a row tomorrow evening.

On Saturday night, the Conley's will split up and take their talents to a couple of different venues in the Buckeye State.  Delmas and Rod will stay closer to home and enter a regular weekly Super Late Model program at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, which boasts a $2,000 payday.  Father/son duo R.J. and J.T. plan to invade Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio again, as the track formerly known as K-C Raceway has a $3,000 to win AMRA Late Model special on tap for Saturday, July 19.  Additional information on these races can be obtained online at www.atomicspeedway.net, www.brushcreekmotorsports.com, and www.portsraceway.com.

The respective #71 teams would like to thank the following companies for their support this season:  Conley Trucking, Conley River Terminal, Rocket Chassis, Poske's Performance Parts, Shain Custom Decals, Draime Racing Engines, Impact Race Gear, Ohlins Shocks, Joe Gibbs Driven Oil, Mason Racin', Bazell Race Fuels, Beyea Headers, Champion Racing Oil, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), UniFirst Uniforms, Sunoco Race Fuels, Allstar Performance, Delph Communications, Accu-Force Shock Dynos, Quarter Master, Out-Pace Racing Products, Design 500, Hoosier Racing Tires, and Wiles Driveshafts.
