Brady Smith Seventh at Hibbing; Wild West Tour Winds Down this Week

SOLON SPRINGS, WISC (July 15) - Brady Smith and his #2 team kicked off the 2014 edition of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series "Wild West Tour" recently with a pair of $10,000 to win showdowns in the state of Minnesota.  The first leg of the swing was held last Thursday night, July 10 at Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota.  Brady knocked down the seventh fastest lap in Group B during qualifying prior to running third in his heat race.  After rolling off from the inside of the sixth row in the 50-lap headliner, Brady was able to pick off four competitors en route to a solid seventh place showing.

Following a rain-out on Saturday evening at Deer Creek Speedway, the Spring Valley, Minnesota facility shifted the annual 'Gopher 50' to Sunday, July 13.  Brady timed in sixteenth quickest during the WOOLMS qualifying session and later finished fifth in heat race action.  The Solon Springs, Wisconsin ace then unfortunately retired shortly before halfway in the 'Gopher 50' and was relegated to a disappointing nineteenth place performance.  Full results from both of these races can be accessed by visiting www.woolms.com.

The four-race "Wild West Tour" with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will wrap up this week with two more $10,000 top prizes on the line in the states of South Dakota and North Dakota.  Things will heat back up tonight, July 15 at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, South Dakota, while the final leg of the "Wild West Tour" will take Brady Smith Racing to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota on Friday, July 18.  Both stops will feature a complete racing program headlined by a 50-lap main event.  Additional information on both Brown County and River Cities can be obtained by pointing your web browser to www.woolms.com.
