Billy Moyer Eyes Third Dirt Late Model Dream Title Following Pevely Runner-Up
 
BATESVILLE, ARK (June 5) - The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team headed to the St. Louis area to compete in a pair of Dirt Late Model special events over the May 30-31 weekend.  Following a rain-out of the $5,000 to win 'Bud 40' at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday, Billy Moyer salvaged his weekend on Saturday evening at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri.  Billy won his heat race from the pole position and later started the 40-lap MARS DIRTcar Series main event from the inside of the second row.  The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer then led laps 3-31 of the $5,000 to win race before settling for a strong runner-up effort behind only winner Brian Birkhofer.  Complete results from Pevely can be accessed online at www.marsracingseries.com.
 
This weekend, Billy and his #21 team will roll into the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 5-7 for the 20th Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream.'  Two prelim nights will start things off at the "Big E" culminating in Twin 25s paying $2,500 to win each on Thursday night and $5,000 to win each on Friday evening.  The stakes will raise in a hurry come Saturday at the hallowed 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, as heat races and consolation events will precede the 100-lap 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' which once again boasts a huge $100,000 payday.
