Billy Moyer Eyes Twelve Speedweeks Events in Sunshine State of Florida BATESVILLE, AR (February 3) - Fresh off a strong start to his 2014 season in Arizona and Texas, which included one trip to National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) victory lane and four additional podium finishes, Billy Moyer will continue his '14 campaign in the upcoming weeks in the Sunshine State of Florida. Billy announced today that he plans on entering twelve high-profile "Speedweeks" events at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida and Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida from February 10-22.
Things will kick off in Florida at East Bay Raceway Park, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over the 38th edition of the 'Winternationals' from February 10-15. The six battles at the "Clay by the Bay" will feature over $200,000 in purse money, with the winner's receiving between $5,000 and $10,000 each night. History will be made on Thursday, February 13 at the 1/3-mile oval when the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will air LIVE on the MAVTV Network at 9:30 PM EST. The Friday and Saturday showdowns at East Bay, which both pay $10,000 to win, will also be taped by the Lucas Oil Production Studios for broadcast later in the year.
The #21 BMR team is then scheduled to spend Sunday, February 16 away from the racetrack before venturing east to the renowned Volusia Speedway Park for the annual running of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' Presented by Summit Racing Equipment. From February 17-22, the UMP DIRTcar Series and World of Outlaws Late Model Series will both sanction a trio of dirt-slinging specials at the Daytona Beach area speedplant. The first two nights at VSP will pay $7,000 to win, while the final four 'DIRTcar Nationals' shows boast a $10,000 winner's check.
Billy is usually lethal each time his transporter crosses into the state of Florida, as the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer has racked up fifteen "Speedweeks" victories since 2006 (nine at Volusia Speedway Park & six at East Bay Raceway Park).
