Hambrick holds off Barley by -9 Points to Claim Inaugural FASTRAK Southeast Regional Championship in 2013CARNESVILLE, Georgia (November 12) – The drivers in the Southeast under the FASTRAK Racing Series banner in addition to vying for the Touring and Weekly championships we’re in the running for the 1st ever Regional title. The FASTRAK Weekly Regional Championship in the Southeast United States came down to the wire the final weekend of September. It was a great battle to decide who would claim the $5,000 but most of all bragging rights as the Inaugural champion. When the nail-bitter finish came to an end it was #45 Eddie Hambrick from Oak Hill, West Virginia taking the crown.
Hambrick a West Virginia practically had a stellar season in his Rocket chassis to reign. In addition to being the FASTRAK Southeast Weekly Regional Champion he is also the 2013 FASTRAK Weekly Track Champion at both Beckley Motorsports Park and Princeton Speedway. The championship run didn’t come easy as certainly a roller coaster ride was through the top 5 finishers in the points. At some point for a week or even more all the drivers that finished in the Top 5 spots at season’s end we’re at the top of the mountain fighting for the $5,000 prize. When it closed out Hambrick was able to hold off #28 Aaron Barley in a West Virginia vs West Virginia battle by only -9 points. These two bumped and banged throughout the 2013 FASTRAK season at many tracks in West Virginia during the racing weekends including: Beckley, I-77, Princeton, Thunder Mountain and West Virginia.
Here is the official Top 30 Finishing Positions for the 2013 FASTRAK Weekly Regional Southeast Championships. They will be awarded their money and some will receive trophies at the 2013 FASTRAK National Awards “Night of Champions” Ceremony in January 2014. Thanks to all of the FASTRAK Southeast competitors that raced week to week with our series and we look forward to seeing you in 2014.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all the Southeast drivers, teams, track promoters, sponsors, contingencies and most of all the fans for supporting the “Nation’s First and Premier Pro Late Models Series in the Country” – FASTRAK Racing Series
