Lucas Oil Speedway releases tentative 2014 Race Schedule

WHEATLAND, Missouri (November 12)- On the heels of one of the most action packed seasons of racing in the 8-year history of Lucas Oil Speedway, officials are pleased to release an even more robust, exciting and aggressive schedule for the 2014 season. "As we looked at the schedule for 2014, there are really few date additions that are possible but we worked hard to expand and add events as well as maintain the events that have proven to be fan favorites." commented Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson. Complete details regarding event specifics and ticket information will be released in the coming weeks.

2014 will see the addition of several new events including the 1st Annual Lucas Oil MLRA Spring Nationals on April 11th-12th which is now a 2-day event and the addition of the 2-day Lucas Oil MLRA Fall Nationals and Factory Stock Shootout on October 10th-11th. Lucas Oil Speedway Officials also recently announced the USRA sanctioning of both the Pitts Home USRA Modifieds and the Tri-Lakes RV USRA B-Mods for 2014. The ULMA sanctioning will return as well for the ALPS Food Stores Late Models.  
 
14 Lucas Oil Weekly Championship Series events plus 18 tentatively scheduled special events are slated for 2014. The season will open on April 5th, with the annual open Test & Tune session plus the return of Mad Dog Demolition Derby Night of Destruction which will include Demo Derby, UTV side by side racing and Figure 8 racing for the first time in several seasons. The Lucas Oil MLRA will be in action for their first appearance of 2014 in the expanded 2-day Spring Nationals event scheduled for April 11th-12th. The first Weekly Championship Series event will be held on April 19th, with all four classes in action. Lucas Oil Speedway would like to welcome back, ALPS Food Stores, Pitts Homes, Carson's Corner NAPA and Tri-Lakes RV as class sponsors for 2014.  
   
The 3rd Annual Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps Open Wheel Showdown kicks off the month of May on May 3rd as the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region Winged Sprint Cars, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series, and the WAR Wingless Auto Racing Sprint Cars all take to the Lucas Oil Speedway for a huge night of open wheel racing. Weekly Championship Series racing will be held on May 10th and May 17th.    
 
The 22nd Annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com is set to take place on May 22nd-24th and will feature the return of the MLRA on Thursday night to kick off the mega event as it culminates with the 100 Lap-$30,000 to win main event on Saturday, May 24th featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. In related news recently released by Lucas Oil Products and MAVTV, the Show-Me 100 will be televised live for the first time ever in 2014 on MAVTV. In addition to the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA, the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds are also scheduled to be in action all three nights in 2014 during Show-Me 100 weekend.  
 
The month of June gets underway with the fifth weekly show of the 2014 season before the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series invades the Lucas Oil Speedway for the first time in 2014 on June 13th-15th for the 3rd Annual John Haas Memorial Drag Boat Classic featuring the wild 250mph Top Fuel Hydros along with a full night of Weekly Racing Series action on June 14th. The first appearance of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Winged Sprint Cars hits the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks" the following Saturday night June 21st along with the WAR Wingless Auto Racing Series Sprint Cars.   
 
Highlights for July include a special Thursday Night Thunder edition of the Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Championship Series as we celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 3rd along with a huge fireworks show to cap off the evening and jump start the holiday weekend. The 8th Annual CMH Diamond Nationals falls on July 12th featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA as the top late model drivers in the country battle for the $10,000 top prize. Weekly Championship Series action takes place on July 19th and 26th. Official with the US F1 Powerboat Tour and Lucas Oil Speedway are working to bring the F1 boats back to Lucas Oil Speedway with an event tentatively scheduled for July 26th.  
 
The Lucas Oil Monster Truck Nationals moves one week later in 2014 on August 2nd featuring an expanded event with (7) Monster Trucks, Tuff Trucks, Freestyle Moto-X and Fireworks. The 5th Annual USMTS Lucas Slick Mist Shootout takes to the track the following weekend on August 9th. The height of the Weekly Championship Series points battle dominates the 3rd and 4th weeks of August on the 16th and 23rd before one of the biggest events of the season wraps up the month on Aug. 29th-31st. The stars of the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series make their final appearance of 2014 on Lake Lucas on August 29th-31st while the Lucas Oil MLRA and Pitts Homes USRA Modfieids will invade the Diamond of Dirt Tracks on Saturday night, August 30th.
 
Lucas Oil Speedway keeps on truckin' into September with the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Nationals featuring the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour on September 6th, followed by the final two additional weekly races of the season on September 13th and 20th, including Season Championship night on Saturday, September 20th. The final Sprint Car event of the 2014 Season will wrap up on September 26th and 27th with the 4th Annual ASCS/WAR Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial.
 
The final event of the season is a newly added event as the Lucas Oil MLRA concludes their 2014 Season at their home track in Wheatland on Oct. 10th-11th for the 1st Annual MLRA Fall Nationals along with a newly added Factory Stock Shootout with details to be released at a later date.
