Brandon Kinzer Claims Podium Finish in SAS Battle at Talladega; Halloween 50 Ahead ALLEN, KY (October 24) - Brandon Kinzer and the Kinzer Motorsports team ventured to the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on October 18-19 for a pair of Dirt Late Model events, which accompanied the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend across the street at the Talladega Superspeedway. On Friday night, the doubleheader kicked off with a $2,000 to win, unsanctioned program. Brandon timed in fifth quickest in Group A during the qualifying session and later started from the inside of the fifth row in the main event. The Allen, Kentucky native raced around the top ten throughout the distance before bringing home a solid ninth place effort.
At the track deemed as the "Hornets Nest" on Saturday evening, Brandon clicked off the third fastest lap in Group B during Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) time trials. After starting the $4,000 to win feature event from the outside of the third row, Brandon sported a fast racecar throughout the 40-lapper and eventually earned a strong podium performance. BK crossed underneath the checkers third in the SAS showdown behind only victor Randy Weaver and runner-up Ray Cook. Complete results from TST can be obtained by clicking on
