Feger sweeps MARS/UMP Challenge weekend with victory at I-55 Raceway



PEVELY, MO (August 24) – Jason Feger of Bloomington, IN doubled up with the MARS/UMP races at Paducah Int’l Raceway in Paducah, KY and I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO. Each win paid $5,000 as Feger earned a cool $10,000. I-55 Raceway hosted the drivers on Saturday August 24th. Feger was again the man to beat as he set a blistering qualifying lap of 12.479, just shy of Billy Moyers track record of 12.203. Feger went on to win his heat race and start on the pole for the 40 lap feature where he would lead early until Bobby Pierce would take the lead on lap 16. Pierce would lead until Feger would regain the lead after a restart on lap 24 and never looked back. For the second night in a row, Pierce would take the runner-up spot. Randy Korte of Highland, IL, Wendell Wallace of Batesville, AR and Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR rounded out the top five.
