Muilenburg, Strong, Russell, and Carter top Lucas Oil Speedway Winners ListWHEATLAND, Missouri - August 17th, 2013 - With unseasonably cool August temps greeting fans in attendance this past Saturday night, the action on the track at Lucas Oil Speedway was certainly hot as Marc Carter, Shawn Strong, Steve Muilenburg, and Jason Russell picked up feature wins on TA/Petro Fan Appreciation Night. "Wow, what a show!" exclaimed track General Manager Dan Robinson at the conclusion of the final event of the evening. 112 cars made their way onto the racetrack for an action packed night of side by side dirt track racing. In addition to the purse payout, each main event winner also received a $300 gift certificate for the Lucas Oil Speedway parts store courtesy of TA/Petro.
The Tri-Lakes RV B-Mods were the first main event of the evening as Hermitage, Missouri's Jeff Miller led the field to the green flag on a lightening fast but smooth as glass racing surface. An early spin involving points leader Kris Jackson brought out the caution flag as the Lebanon, Missouri driver suffered minor front end damage but was able to continue albeit from the rear of the field. Shawn Strong assumed top spot and held on to take the win as a torrid battle ensued just behind between Wheatland's Mike Streigal and Verona, Missouri's Colt Pruente. Pruente worked the high side to take second at the end with Streigal settling for the third spot. Zach Zeugin had a great run in the 01 to finish fourth after starting 14th. Jim Pearcy had a strong showing finishing in fifth. Jackson was able salvage an eighth place finish in the final rundown.
Henley, Missouri's Jason Russell continued his domination of the ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models to pick up his record setting 14th ULMA of 2013 as he survived contact with a pair of lap cars midway through the main event to hold off former track Champion Jeremy Kelley. Kelley took the second spot with Lebanon, Missouri's Mike Montague charging all the way from the 14th starting spot to finish third. Tommy Cordray worked the bottom of the racetrack in his familiar blue #5 to cross the AAA Start/Finish Line in fourth with veteran Jon Binning taking the fifth spot.
A strong field of Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds were on hand as Sparta, Missouri's Steve Muilenburg picked up his first ever USRA Modified win at Lucas Oil Speedway after starting in the fourth row. Jon Sheets led early but Muilenburg was able to sneak by on a restart to get the lead and hold on for the win. USRA National Points leader Terry Schultz started third and finished third as he tirelessly worked the top of the racetrack. Nic Bidinger made a rare appearance at Lucas Oil Speedway to finish fourth despite starting deep in the field. Sedalia, Missouri's Christopher Moon had a solid run to score a top-5 finish at the end.
The Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks were the featured class of the evening as they battled for a special 25-lap $500 win main event courtesy of

With the top drivers in the region battling for the lead up front slicing and dicing their way around the LOS oval, Warrensburg, Missouri's Marc Carter methodically worked the bottom groove from his fourth row starting spot to take the win and the extra money. Burl Woods gave it all he had on the top side to take second at the finish with track points leader Brian Schutt settling for third. David Hendrix in the black #1 led early but ultimately fell back to the fourth spot at the end just ahead of Camdenton, Missouri's Kenny Carroll.
