R.J. Conley Sets Fast Time at North/South 100; Team set for Moler/Portsmouth WHEELERSBURG, OH (August 14) - R.J. Conley and his #71c team invaded the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 9-10 for the 31st edition of the 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again presided over the crown jewel extravaganza and a whopping $50,000 payday was on the line. R.J. started his weekend off with a bang on Friday night, as he clicked off the fastest lap overall of the 67 entrants during qualifying and later placed third in the Fast Dash.
When things really ratcheted up at the 1/2-mile speedplant on Saturday evening, R.J. grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the seventh row in the 100-lap main event. The Wheelersburg, Ohio native then hung around the top ten throughout the distance and was around at the finish of the caution-plagued 'North/South 100' to record a thirteenth place performance. Complete results from the huge weekend, which was taped by the television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios, can be obtained by clicking on

All three Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers will return to racing action this upcoming weekend (August 16-17) in their home state of Ohio. Delmas and R.J. Conley plan to travel to the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday evening for the ‘Ike Moler Memorial,’ which boasts a $5,000 payday. Rod Conley will then join Delmas and R.J. at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday night for the 19th Annual ‘Fred Dillow Memorial,’ which also pays $5,000 to the winner.
