Brian Birkhofer Eyes UMP Summer Nationals Following Dream Podium Finish

MUSCATINE, IA (June 13) - Birkhofer Racing roared into the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 6-8 for the 19th Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream.'  The new expanded race format kicked off on Thursday and Friday at the "Big E" with Twin 25s.  On Thursday night, Brian Birkhofer timed in thirteenth fastest during qualifying, finished third in his heat race, and later climbed four spots during the $2,500 to win main event to place seventh in the final rundown.  At the hallowed high-banks on Friday evening, Brian qualified sixth quickest and finished second in his heat race prior to claiming a fifth place performance in the $5,000 to win feature event behind only winner Matt Miller, Jimmy Owens, Steve Casebolt, and Josh Richards.

Things really heated up at the 1/2-mile facility on Saturday, as a whopping $100,000 top prize was on the line in the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.'  Brian moved up to second in his heat race to earn the outside fifth row starting spot in the 100-lap crown jewel extravaganza.  The Muscatine, Iowa standout then proceeded to pick off seven competitors in the extra distance affair and was paid for third at the pay window following the completion of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.'  Brian joined winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Dennis Erb, Jr. on the podium.  Complete results from the long weekend at Eldora Speedway can be viewed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

The #15b team will travel north this upcoming weekend (June 14-16) for a trio of UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals showdowns in Wisconsin.  The renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin will play host to the 15th Annual 'Masters,' which boasts a $5,000 winner's check on Friday and a $10,000 payday on Saturday.  Following the doubleheader at CLS, the triple shot of "Hell Tour" action will wrap up on Sunday with a $5,000 to win program at the Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin.  Additional information on the tripleheader can be found by logging onto www.thehelltour.com.
