Chad Stapleton Goes Two-For-Two with Victories in Weekend Action

by Ben Shelton
EDINBURGH, Indiana (05/01/13) – After a frustrating start to the year Chad Stapleton finally got things pointed in the right direction over the weekend with back-to-back victories in Ohio and Indiana in his #32 Stapleton Motorsports/Rightway Construction/Skeletor Core/Barry Wright/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model.

The weekend opened on Friday night at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) as the facility was finally able to overcome a series of rain outs.  A second place finish in his heat race positioned Stapleton starting fourth on the grid for the main event.  He would progressively work his way to the front of the pack in the finale as great racing raged at the front of the field.  He went on to claim the win over Johnny Whitney, Barry Doss, Mark Frazier, and Kellen Kenneda.  Full results are available at www.MolerRacewayPark.com .

Saturday night took the team to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for another UMP Super Late Model event.  Chad started the night by winning the first heat race from the sixth starting spot to lock into the pole position for the feature with Cody Mahoney starting alongside.  The fifteen car feature grid put on a great show in the finale as they battled two and three wide around the 1/4 mile oval.  Stapleton would have his hands full for much of the event before charging to the lead and the win late in the race. Joe Janowski, Mahoney, Tyler Allen, and Tim Rivers rounded out the top five in the final rundown.  Full results from the event are available at www.BrownstownSpeedway.com .

"These were two hard-fought wins for our team against some good competition," commented Stapleton.  "Between mechanical failures, bad luck, and even my surgery it's been a miserable start to the year for me and my team.  This win is dedicated to my crew guys, sponsors, and fans, who have stood behind me."

Chad Stapleton would like to thank all of his sponsors and supporters including Rightway Construction, Skeletor Core, K&L Machining, Thirty-one Auto Group, Bowman Dodge, Cox Tree Service, Dirt Racing Connection, Schaeffer's Specialized Lubricants, Hoosier Race Tire, Jones Core, Roger's Bar, Barry Wright Race Cars, Tri County Auto Parts, Jay Dickens Racing Engines DK Designs, Rhino Linings, GW Performance, All Star Performance, Tranter Racing, AFCO, Frankland, Sweet Mfg, Outlaw, Wilwood, Team Peterson, VP Racing Fuels, and MSR Mafia Marketing Services.
