Rick Eckert Climbs to Second at 311; WOOLMS Triple Shot Next

YORK, PENN (April 24) - Rick Eckert and his #24 team traveled to the Tarheel State of North Carolina on April 19-20 for a pair of $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series battles.  Following a rain-out on Friday night at the Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the Saturday show at the 311 Motor Speedway in Madison, North Carolina went off without a hitch.

Rick posted the ninth quickest lap during time trials and later placed third in his loaded heat race.  After starting the 50-lap main event from the inside of the fifth row, Rick pointed his #24 Team Zero / Jay Dickens entry towards the front of the stellar field. "Scrub" eventually worked his way up to the second spot to finish an impressive runner-up behind only race winner Tim McCreadie.  Rick now finds himself third in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings following the strong run at 311. Next up for the Rick Eckert Racing team will be three more World of Outlaws Late Model Series tilts in the Volunteer State of Tennessee from April 26-28.  The Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee will play host to a $10,000 to win show on Friday night, while the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee will do the same on Saturday evening.  The third and final $10,000 to win WoO event of the weekend will take place on Sunday at the Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee.  Additional information concerning the triple shot of racing this weekend can be accessed by clicking on www.woolms.com.
