Scott James Heads to Green Valley this Weekend on Heels of Strong Speedweeks

BRIGHT, IN (March 1) - Scott James recently made his debut as the driver of the Warrior House Car in ten high-profile Dirt Late Model events in Georgia and Florida during “Speedweeks 2013.”  Scott competed at the Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia), Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida), and Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) from February 8-23.  The Bright, Indiana standout wheeled his Powell Motorsports / Manpower To Horsepower / Goddard Guttering #1G Warrior / Custom entry to a trio of podium finishes during the stint down south, as well as an additional top ten performance.

His best effort during “Speedweeks” came in the $20,000 to win ‘Bubba Army Late Model Winter Nationals’ finale at Ocala on Sunday, February 17.  Scott finished third in heat race action, but later blasted past nine competitors during the 75-lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series special to record a stellar runner-up finish behind only victor Josh Richards.  The popular driver known as the “Silver Shark” also garnered a third at Screven in his season lid lifter on February 8 and a fifth a week later at Ocala on February 15.

While in Georgia and Florida, Scott entered each of the eight World of Outlaws Late Model Series programs held this year and advanced into all eight feature events.  He emerged from the February 23 ‘UNOH DIRTcar Nationals’ finale at Volusia seventh in the latest edition of the point standings.  This week, Scott and the #1G team announced their intentions of following the rigorous WOOLMS schedule full-time and will be in the pit area when the national touring series fires back up on Friday, March 22 at the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas.

You can view a full race recap from each of the events that Scott entered during “Speedweeks 2013” by clicking on his brand-new website, which is located at www.ScottJamesMotorsports.com.

Looking to continue their strong start to the 2013 campaign, the Warrior House Car team will return to action this weekend (March 1-2) at the Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama.  The 16th Annual ‘Bama Bash’ will be held over the weekend at GVS and a hefty $16,016 top prize will be on the line in the unsanctioned meet.  Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Friday night, while the consolation races and the 75-lapper are slated for Saturday evening at the Dennis Harker-owned speedplant.  Additional information on this year’s version of the ‘Bama Bash’ can be accessed by clicking on www.greenvalleyspeedway.com.
