Josh McGuire Closes 2012 Campaign with Podium Finish in Halloween 50

GRAYSON, KY (November 13) - Josh McGuire and his #41 JMR team closed out their 2012 racing season on Saturday night, November 10 at the newly re-opened 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky.  The rain-postponed 'Halloween 50' took place at 201 over the weekend and a $3,000 top prize was on the line.  Josh laid down the eighth quickest lap of the 34 entrants during the qualifying session and later placed second in his heat race.  After starting the unsanctioned 50-lapper from the outside of the fourth row, Josh advanced all the way up to second in the running order before finishing a strong third behind only winner Jackie Boggs and runner-up Eddie Carrier, Jr.  Complete results from 201 can be located online at www.latemodelracer.com.

With the 2012 campaign now complete, the Grayson, Kentucky ace can reflect on what was a solid year for his Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team.  In all, Josh racked up ten (10) feature wins, twenty-four (24) Top Fives, and twenty-seven (27) Top Tens in the fifty-one (51) Dirt Late Model races that he entered this season.  Of those ten victories, five of them came in events that paid over $3,000 to the winner.  Josh’s biggest paydays of 2012 came in the ‘Butterball Wooldridge Memorial’ ($7,500) at the Richmond (KY) Raceway and in the ‘Harvest 50’ ($5,000) at the Skyline (OH) Speedway.  You can view all of his finishes by logging onto www.joshmcguireracing.com.
