Josh McGuire Eyes World Finals Following Runner-Up Finish at WillardGRAYSON, KY (October 31) - Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late Model team invaded the Willard Speedway in Willard, Kentucky on Friday night, October 26 for the running of the 'Black Jack and Farley Boggs Memorial.' The unsanctioned showdown at Willard boasted a $2,000 top prize. Josh timed in third fastest during the qualifying session and later ran third in the dash. After rolling off from the inside of the second row in the A-Main, Josh was able to move up to the second spot to finish a strong runner-up behind only winner Jackie Boggs.
The JMR team was then scheduled to compete in a $3,000 to win program on Saturday evening, October 27 at the newly-reopened 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky. Unfortunately, the unsanctioned event was rained-out during the afternoon and postponed until Saturday, November 10.
Next up for the Josh McGuire Racing team is scheduled to be a trip to the immaculate Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina from November 1-3 for the PEAK Motor Oil ‘World of Outlaws World Finals’ Presented by NAPA Auto Parts. Two rounds of qualifying will start the big weekend on Thursday night, while a pair of $10,000 to win, 50-lap feature events will headline the action on Friday and Saturday. A national television audience will witness all of Saturday’s wheel-to-wheel competition, as the program will be broadcast on the SPEED Channel.
