Conley’s Strong During DTWC; Rod and R.J. Prep for 201

WHEELERSBURG, OH (October 25) - The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams were out in full force on October 19-20 for the 32nd edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship,' which was held for the first time at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.  A total of 94 competitors piled into the pit area at PRP for the $50,000 to win crown jewel event, which also attracted the high-definition cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios.  After Mother Nature took the win on Friday night, the entire show was condensed into a single day affair starting on Saturday afternoon.

R.J. Conley timed in fifth fastest in Group B during the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying session, won his loaded heat race, and later placed eighth in the 100-lap 'Dirt Track World Championship.'  Delmas Conley ran fourth in his heat race, won his B-Main, and later retired after only 15 circuits to wind up twenty-sixth in the final rundown of the DTWC.  Rod Conley was unfortunately not able to transfer into the A-Main after he finished fifth in his heat race, sixth in his consolation event, and ninth in the $3,000 to win 'Jim Dunn Memorial' for non-qualifiers.  Complete results from the long day at PRP on Saturday can be accessed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.

While Delmas has tentatively decided that the DTWC will be his final event of 2012, Rod and R.J. will continue their ’12 campaign this Saturday night, October 27 in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Both drivers are scheduled to invade the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky for the running of the ‘Halloween 50.’  A $3,000 top prize has been posted for the Super Late Models in the 50-lap main event.  You can keep up with the schedule plans for the Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams by logging onto www.conleymotorsportsinc.com.
