Top Ten for Dennis Erb, Jr. at Berlin; Late Model Knoxville Nationals Next

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL (September 27) - Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team traveled to the renowned Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan on September 21-22 for the inaugural running of the 'Down & Dirty 100.'  Over 300 truckloads of clay was placed on the 7/16-mile asphalt oval for the historic race, which boasted a hefty $20,000 top prize.  After rain showers invaded the area on Friday night, the entire show was condensed into a one-day format on Saturday.

In preliminary action, Dennis laid down the fourth fastest lap of the 32 entrants during World of Outlaws Late Model Series qualifying and later ran second in his loaded heat race.  After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 100-lap feature event, Dennis had a quiet, steady run in the 'Down & Dirty 100' and placed eighth in the final finishing order.  Complete results from Berlin can be obtained by clicking on www.worldofoutlaws.com.

Next up for the Dennis Erb Racing team will be a visit to the Hawkeye State for the ‘Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.’  The 9th annual version of the crown jewel extravaganza will take place from September 27-29 at the famous Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.  A pair of $7,000 to win preliminary shows are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, while the 100-lapper at the 1/2-mile Marion County fairgrounds oval on Saturday shells out an impressive $40,000 to the victor.  Lucas Oil Production Studios will also be on hand to tape this mega-event for a SPEED and MAVTV broadcast later in the fall.  Additional information can be viewed by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.
