Billy Moyer Enjoys Pair of Runner-Up Efforts with Outlaws; Berlin Next

BATESVILLE, AR (September 19) - Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team traveled to the states of Illinois and Missouri on September 14-15 for a pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series battles.  On Friday night at the tiny Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois, Billy laid down the sixth quickest lap during the qualifying session prior to winning his heat race.  After drawing the third starting spot before the $12,000 to win 'Photobilly 50,' the Batesville, Arkansas standout moved up to second to finish a strong runner-up behind only race winner Brandon Sheppard.

At the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening, a $10,000 top prize was on the line in the annual running of the 'Pepsi Nationals.'  Billy timed in fourth fastest in WOOLMS qualifying and once again won his loaded heat race.  "Mr. Smooth," who started seventh on the grid in the 55-lapper, advanced all the way up to second to nab yet another runner-up performance to victor Dennis Erb, Jr.  Complete results from the double-dip can be accessed online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.

Next up for the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will be another World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown on September 21-22 in the Wolverine State of Michigan.  The Keyser Manufacturing ‘Down & Dirty 100’ will be held this weekend at the renowned Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan.  Over 300 truckloads of clay has covered the 7/16-mile asphalt oval in preparation for the $20,000 to win mega-event.  Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Friday night, while the consolation races and the 100-lap A-Main are slated for Saturday evening.  Additional information on the inaugural ‘Down & Dirty 100’ weekend can be obtained by pointing your web browser to www.worldofoutlaws.com.
