Top Ten for Tyler Reddick at North/South; Topless 100 Nextby Ben Shelton
Corning, California (08/15/12) –16-year-old, Tyler Reddick overcame adversity during the running of the 30th Annual North/South 100 last weekend in his #11 Broken Bow Records/Bloomquist/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model to claim an eighth place finish.
Tyler Reddick was back in his familiar #11 Bloomquist/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model over the weekend in the 30th Annual Sunoco North/South 100 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky). Sixty-four competitors registered for action on Friday evening as Reddick struggled in time trials with an oil leak that was trickling to his right rear tire. As a result he qualified nineteenth fastest in his group to earn the seventh starting spot for the fourth heat race on Saturday night. With the top three finishers from his heat transferring to the feature Reddick would drive past four competitors on his way to a third place finish, which locked him into the fourteenth starting spot for the 100 lap, $50,000-to-win finale. Despite passing being difficult in the feature, Reddick still managed to advance six spots on his way to an eighth place finish. Full results from the event are available at

Tyler now turns his attention to the 20th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctions the crown jewel. In 2012 Reddick recorded fast time honors at the event before going on to record a fifth place finish in the finale. This weekend he will be looking for the biggest win of his career as he chases the $40,000-to-win top prize. Festivities open on Thursday evening with an Open Practice Sessions before seeing time trials and heat races contested on Friday. On Saturday evening the weekend will conclude with b-mains and the 100 lap finale. For more information on the event, please visit
