Wendell Wallace Leads Early at Magnolia; Heads to Granite City Tonight BATESVILLE, AR (July 13) - Wendell Wallace and his #6m team ventured to the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on July 6-7 for the annual running of the 'Clash at the Mag.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the two-day extravaganza, which boasted a hefty $20,000 winner's check. In addition, the high-definition cameras of the Lucas Oil Productions Studios were on hand to tape the exciting action for broadcast on SPEED, NBC Sports, and MAVTV.
On Friday night during preliminary action, Wendell laid down the third quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later won his heat race. When the action really heated up on Saturday evening, Wendell rolled off from the outside of the front row in the 100-lap feature event. The Batesville, Arkansas ace grabbed the top spot at the drop of the green flag and held the point for the first nineteen circuits. While Wendell tried to stay towards the front of the field, he eventually slipped back to finish eleventh in the final rundown. Full results from the 'Clash at the Mag' can be located online at

He will not be behind the wheel of his familiar #6m entry; however, as Wendell will once again pilot Steve Lampley’s #33 Barry Wright racecar. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the ‘Battle at the Beach 50’ tonight at Granite City and a $10,000 top prize will be up for grabs. This is Wendell’s only scheduled race this weekend. Additional information can be found by clicking on
