Tim Fuller Streaking into Firecracker 100 Weekend Watertown, NY (June 27, 2012) Tim Fuller and his Tim Fuller Racing Inc., team have used two consecutive top-five finishes on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series tour to build a bit of a hot streak heading into this weekend's $30,000 to-win, Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com at Sarver, PA's Lernerville Speedway.
Fuller's streak of four top-ten finishes in his last five late model starts began with a ninth place finish at Delaware Int. Speedway in Delmar, DE on May 31 and continued with a tenth place run at Hagerstown (MD) Speedway on June 16, and back-to-back third place finishes at Autodrome Granby (QUE) and Canandaigua (NY) Speedway on June 22 and 26.
Tim's recent success has him back in the tenth spot in WoOLMS championship points but nonetheless, Fuller's intentions are to stay closer to home when the tour heads out for their 'Wild West Tour' after Lernerville's Firecracker. 'Mark (Richards) kept us going back in April when we drove the Rocket house car in Alabama and Tennessee, and with most of the shows after that pretty close to home, we stuck it out through now,' Tim said via phone while heading to Lernerville. 'We hurt a motor last night at Canandaigua; we finished third but we did it on seven cylinders.' That borrowed motor was all but lapped out and was scheduled to be refreshed after Lernerville. 'We just can't head out west with two cars and one motor,' Fuller said. 'There's nothing I want more than to stay on tour, especially with how we're running right now.'
'We finally got the car to where we want it and we're looking forward to this weekend's Firecracker,' Tim quipped, 'Lernerville is one my favorite places to race and with the little bit of momentum we have right now, we're confident we'll have a strong showing. A good weekend at Lernerville will help us out tremendously for what we'd like to do for the rest of the season. We'd like to hit as many bigger shows as we can, as long as we keep running good.'
Tim will be in action in his Reliable Painting, Keyser Manufacturing, Integra Racing Shocks, JNJ Motorsports Media, G and R Auto Parts sponsored Rocket Chassis this Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 29 for the two $6,000 to-win preliminary events as well as Saturday, June 30 for the $30,000 to-win, Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com. All three events are sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.
