SRRS Returns to Duck River Raceway Park, LLC on Thursday June 28th, 2012 by Josh Plant
Wheel, TN (06/21/2012) – Duck River Raceway Park, LLC formally known as (Duck River Speedway) in Wheel, Tn. is counting down the days to the new beginnings of the speedway, starting with the return of the Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) on Thursday June 28th, 2012 with over $14,000 up for grabs, under the new ownership of Bob Harris and race operations of David Gentry.
On Thursday June 28th, 2012 the Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) Super Late Models will be making their long overdue trip return back to Duck River Raceway Park. SRRS events in the previous years at Duck River have produced some of the most exciting and memorable moments for fans, the speedway and the series. Over $14,000 in prize money is up for grabs for the super late models, Dixon Plumbing will sponsor fast time awards $200 for super late models and $100 for the 2 barrel late models. All Regular Divisions will be racing. Classes Running on Thursday June 28th, include: Super Late Models, 2 Barrel Late Models, Pure Stock, Outlaw Pony, Pure Pony, Rookie Pony and Mini Mods.
Many big changes are under development at Duck River Raceway Park, LLC. Fans and racers will see a few come Thursday June 28th, 2012. Several, much needed renovations plus new things will be happening at the raceway in the upcoming months going into next year’s 2013 season, which will mark 40 years of racing at Duck River Raceway Park, LLC.
On Thursday June 28th, 2012 Gates Open at 4pm Drivers Meeting at 7pm and Racing starts immediately after drivers meeting. General Admission will be $15 Kids 6-12 $5 and Kids 5 and under Free. Pit Admission will be $30, Kids 12 and Under $5.
