Rod Conley Sweeps Moler and Portsmouth for $4,000 Weekend

WHEELERSBURG, OH (June 14) - "Hot Rod" Conley was definitely hot over the June 8-9 weekend, as the veteran Wheelersburg, Ohio driver scored a pair of $2,000 triumphs in the Buckeye State!  On Friday night, Rod raced to the win at the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio by beating Dillan White, Barry Doss, Mike Jewell, and Mark Frazier to the checkers.  A day later, Rod claimed another $2,000 victory at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio by outlasting Dillan White, Mark Frazier, Terry Hicks, and Billy Gullion.  Delmas Conley joined his son Rod at PRP on Saturday evening, but succumbed to a broken driveshaft in the feature, which dropped the Hall of Famer to a disappointing twenty-first place finish.

R.J. Conley made his way to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio over the weekend for the 18th edition of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream' presented by Ferris Commercial Mowers.  On Friday night during the two-round qualifying session, R.J. posted the twenty-ninth fastest lap of the 98 competitors in attendance at the "Big E."  When Saturday rolled around, R.J. finished sixth in his loaded heat race and later fell to sixteenth in the B-Main.  Unfortunately, he was not able to advance his #71c Rocket Chassis into the $100,000 to win feature event.  Full results from the action-packed weekend can be found online at www.molerracewaypark.com, www.portsraceway.com, and www.eldoraspeedway.com.

All three Conley’s are set to invade the nearby Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio this Friday night, June 15 for the 17th Annual ‘Pepsi Southern 100.’  The unique format is headlined by a pair of $2,000 to win Qualifying Features prior to the 50-lap Championship Feature, which boasts a $10,000 winner’s check.  On Saturday evening, Delmas and R.J. Conley will venture to the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for a $2,000 to win weekly show, while Rod will vie for the $10,000 top prize in the unsanctioned ‘Black Gold 50’ at the Beckley Motorsports Park in Beckley, West Virginia.  You can view the upcoming schedules for all three drivers online at www.conleymotorsportsinc.com.
