Jimmy Mars Eyes Red Cedar and Deer Creek this Weekend

MENOMONIE, WI (April 25) - The Mars Racing team helped kick-off the 2012 racing season at the nearby Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin on Friday, April 20, as they entered the $1,000 to win lid lifter. Jimmy Mars ran third in heat race action and sported a fast racecar in the 18-lap feature event. The Menomonie native quickly bolted up to second on the choppy racing surface, but ran out of laps to catch eventual winner Jake Redetzke and settled for a strong runner-up effort. Saturday's weekly program at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin was then washed out by Mother Nature. Jimmy and his #28 team have two more events on their radar over the April 27-28 weekend in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota. On Friday night, the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin will play host to another $1,000 to win weekly tilt. The Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota will then wrap up the weekend for the Mars Racing team on Saturday evening, as a $2,000 top prize will be up for grabs.
