Tyler Reddick Claims Pair of Top Ten Finishes; Commonwealth 100 Nextby Ben Shelton
Corning, California (04/10/12) – With a rare off-weekend from the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMS) 16-year-old, Tyler Reddick entered a pair of events in Kentucky and Illinois to do some testing for upcoming series' events, and when the final checkered flag dropped on the weekend he had a pair of top ten finishes to show for his efforts.
Tyler entered the season opener for Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Kentucky) on Friday night with the intent of using the event as a testing session for the upcoming Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) race at the 1/2 mile oval. He started the night by finishing fourth in his heat race, which earned him the seventh starting spot for the feature. In the main event he would race his way forward five positions on his way to a second place finish, behind race winner, Tanner English. Full results are available at

Saturday night found the team at La Salle Speedway (La Salle, Illinois) for a $5,000-to-win, UMP DIRTCar event. With a talented field of 32 Super Late Models on hand Reddick began his night by setting fast time in his group to earn the pole for his heat race. He would battle Brandon Sheppard for the heat race win before settling for a second place finish, which locked him into the eighth starting spot for the main event. In the feature he would battle in the top ten for the duration of the event before crossing the finish line in the 10th position. Overall, it was a good night for the team as they got more track time in preparation for the facilities upcoming Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event. Full results are available at

This weekend, April 13th-14th, the team will return to action with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) for the 3rd Annual Commonwealth 100. With a $25,000 winner's check on the line, time trials and heat races will be held on Friday night, while Saturday's program will be headlined by consolation events and the 100 lap finale.
