Jason Covert's 2011 Season Ends with Sixth Straight Regional Championship

York Haven, PA (November 15, 2011) Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and now six time regional series champion Jason Covert of York Haven, PA have finished up what could be one of the most successful season's the pair have shared in their five full seasons together. Covert fired off 38 top ten finishes and 27 top five's in 48 starts to go along with 10 wins, matching career season high with 2010's win total. Jason's ten wins in 2011 ironically give him 43 total wins as driver of the #43A, Barry Klinedinst owned machine.

'I don't know if it was our best season together,' Covert said, 'but it's certainly been one of our most consistent. I don't know if we've ever finished in the top ten or even the top five as much as we did this year. It's just a tribute to Barry and the whole team for all the hard work they put in everyday at the shop. This is the sixth straight season we've come home with a regional championship, ('06, '07, '08 with MACS, '09, '10, '11 Three State Flyers Series) and it all starts in the shop. I can't thank the team enough for everything they do and the cars they put underneath me each and every week.'

Covert's stellar 2011 season didn't end the way he wanted but was still very gracious in the end. 'We need to thank Ernie Davis for helping out with the purse at Hagerstown this past weekend. It's amazing to see how much he loves to race and loves it so much as to give back to the racers, regardless of division.' Jason continued. 'We also have to thank Gary Nininger and Nininger's Tire Center for supporting the Three State Flyers Series this year and providing a point fund.'

Next year looks like much of the same for Covert and BK Motorsports. 'We'll keep the same type of schedule and depending on work, we may do a little more traveling than we did the past year or two,' Jason said. 'My work schedule usually keeps us closer to home but things may slow down there next summer to open up a little more time to do more racing. There are a few things that need to be tended to throughout the off-season but we'll most likely do the same things we normally do.'
