Andrew Satterlee Claims Dog Hollow Speedway Championship

ROCHESTER MILLS, PA (November 15) - One of Western Pennsylvania's bright young stars, Andrew 'Dews' Satterlee and Andrew Satterlee Racing (ASR) of Rochester Mills, PA had a 2011 season to remember as he captured his first Dog Hollow Speedway Fastrak Crate Track Championship.

Weather played a major role in 'Dews' getting his season started as his first event wasn't until May 21 but it didn't take long for Satterlee to pick up his first win at Marion Center Speedway in Marion Center, PA as he did so on May 28. From there 'Dews' was able to take the checkers three more times at Marion Center in 2011 giving him four total wins at the smooth, fast half mile.

Satterlee spent his Friday night's at Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, PA where he was victorious seven times, including five in a row to end the season, en route to claiming his first track championship. Andrew had 25 top ten finishes and 22 top five's to go along with his 11 wins in 27 starts.

'Winning a championship was certainly a goal of ours for this season but being able to win 11 times has to be the highlight for us,' Satterlee said. 'We got on that roll there at the end of the year at Dog Hollow to finish out the season really strong. It's a little disappointing when you're on a roll like that and the season ends but hopefully we can keep that momentum through the off-season and start 2012 the same way we ended this year.'

Andrew's 2012 plans are still undecided right now but will most likely be something along the lines of what the team did in 2011. 'Traveling a little more is something we are definitely going to look at,' Andrew mentioned, 'our goal is to get better as a race team and travelling around to different facilities will definitely help us do that. It's just a matter of having the time to do it. As the beginning of the season gets closer, we'll be able to look at everything and see if it's something we will be able to do.'
