Brandon Kinzer Nabs Second Win of 2011 Racing Season Last Weekend at TSTALLEN, Ky. (October 26) - Brandon Kinzer, of Allen, Kentucky, recorded his second Dirt Late Model feature win of the 2011 campaign on Friday night, October 21 at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama! After timing in second fastest during the qualifying session, Brandon rolled off from the outside of the front row in the A-Main. BK led the first half of the feature prior to Tim Busha taking over the point. However, Brandon stayed up on the wheel and powered past Busha late in the race to score the $2,000 triumph!
On Saturday evening, October 22, another $2,000 top prize was on the line at the track deemed as the "Hornets Nest." Brandon qualified eighth quickest during time trials, which locked him into the outside of the fourth row in the main event. He then wheeled his #18 entry past five competitors in the A-Main to claim a third place performance behind only winner Tony Knowles and runner-up Tim Busha.
"It was a great weekend for us at Talladega and I had a blast racing both nights down there," commented Kinzer this week. "That place was very racy and you could definitely race all over it. I had a great battle with (Tim) Busha on Friday night and fortunately got the win. Then on Saturday, I went out early in qualifying and that hurt us. By the time the feature rolled around though, I was able to move up through the field and eventually got up to third."
The Kinzer Motorsports team has decided to take the upcoming October 28-29 weekend off from racing action. Brandon is currently undecided if and when he will race during the month of November. Keep up-to-date on the latest schedule plans concerning the #18 team by logging onto
