ELKINS SPEEDWAY TO END SEASON TOPLESS KERENS, W.V. (October 10) - The new Elkins Speedway will close its 2011 season with a flourish, celebrating what has turned out to be an excellent first season for the new management.
On Saturday Night October 15th The Woodford Oil Super Late Models will be the headliners, with a 52-lap feature scheduled with $2,500 to the winner sponsored by Budweiser. And for the first time in recent memory at the speedway, the Super Late Models will run “topless”. Driver expected too be on hand at 2011 Points Champion Tim Senic, Chuck Harper, and Butch McGill, Billy Holbert, and Skip Hare just too name a few.
Also on the schedule are the Valley Supply FASTRAK Pro-Lates,paying $1,000 to win, Miller’s Used Cars E-Mods also paying $1,000 to win, and Street Stocks paying the top spot $600 dollars. And another tradition will begin, as a season-ender huge fireworks display is planned.
Keep in mind that starting time will be one hour earlier than was the norm during the regular season; gates will open at 5 pm, with racing getting underway at 7; General Admission will be just $10.00 and Pit admission is only $30.00.
