JIM DUNN MEMORIAL RETURNS WITH U. S. STEEL DTWC PRESENTED BY SUNOCONon Qualifiers Race to pay $3,000 to win
WAVERLY, Ohio (October 6) - With the return of the U. S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship Presented by Sunoco to K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, OH will also mark the return of the Jim Dunn Memorial Non-Qualifiers race, this year paying $3,000 to win! This event named after the late Jim Dunn who won the first U.S. Steel DTWC back in 1981. The Cinderella story of Dunn’s victory that day is legend and one of the things that makes Dirt Late Model racing so popular among fans, the chance that David will slay Goliath and take the win.
This year’s event will be no different as stars of Dirt Late Model racing will be on hand battling for the $50,000 top prize. However don’t count out the local and regional talent that will be there also looking for their chance to make racing history. Will this year be another underdog taking the win? Make sure you’re in attendance for the 2011 U. S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship Presented by Sunoco.

Schedule of events gets underway on Thursday October 13th with modified qualifying, heat races and consolation races. Then on Friday October 14th there will be late model qualifying, heat races and any modified consolations unable to be run on Thursday. On Saturday October 15th there will be a special driver autograph session followed by late model consolation races, the Jim Dunn non-qualifier race, the 30 lap modified feature and the 100 lap U. S. Steel DTWC.
Ticket sales will resume at the Speedway’s ticket office Thursday October 13th and each day of the U. S. Steel DTWC. To learn more about this years DTWC visit the official website at
