Babb captures second straight MARS/UMP Tri State Trifecta win at Paducah Int’l Raceway

PADUCAH, Ky. (August 26) – Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, IL double dips in the MARS VS UMP Tri-state Trifecta by claiming night two and the title of USA World 50 Champion at the Paducah International Raceway. Babb would take advantage of a poor restart by race long leader Brian Shirley of Chatam, IL on lap 28 and was able to stay out front and take another $5,000 for his efforts. Babb was also the feature winner last night at Highland Speedway in Highland, IL.

Jason Feger of Bloomington, IL finished second. Terry English of Benton, KY; Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR and Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO would round out the top five.

Up next will be the final night of the Tri-State Trifecta as the MARS VS UMP Challenge moves to the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO on Saturday August 27, 2011.
