Scott James Readies for Tripleheader Weekend Following Runner-Up Fred Dillow Memorial Finish

BRIGHT, Ind. - Scott James and the Riggs Motorsports team ventured to the Buckeye State of Ohio on August 19-20 for a pair of $5,000 to win unsanctioned programs.  On Friday night at the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio, Scott won his heat race to earn the outside front row starting spot in the 'Victor Ike Moler Memorial.'  The Bright, Indiana native was the class of the field, as he led the first thirty circuits unchallenged.  Unfortunately, a broken axle tube cost him a potential win in the 50-lapper and relegated him to a very disappointing eighteenth place finish.

The action quickly shifted to the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday evening for the annual running of the 'Fred Dillow Memorial.'  Scott qualified well and later ran second in the dash to once again sit on the front row of the feature event.  The driver known as the "Silver Shark" fell back to as far as fourth in the running order before charging to a close runner-up effort behind only winner Eddie Carrier, Jr.

The #81 team will now turn their focus to a trio of high-profile races in the states of Illinois and Kentucky from August 25-27.  The Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois will take center stage tonight by hosting a $5,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series and UMP DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned event.  A similar program will then be held on Friday evening at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky.  The tripleheader weekend for the team will then wrap up on Saturday night in a $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battle at the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky.

Scott James and the Riggs Motorsports team would like to thank the following group of sponsors for their continued support:  Clearwave Communications, Murphy Motorsports, JFR Graphics, Rocket Chassis, Jay Dickens Racing Engines, A-1 Technologies, Bert Transmission, Beyea Headers, Braswell Carburetion, Dan Olson Racing Products, Delph Communications, Dyer’s Top Rods, Goodridge, GW Performance, Hoosier Racing Tires, Integra Shocks, Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil, Jones Racing Products, Performance Bodies, Peterson Fluid Systems, R2C Performance, Sweet Mfg., VP Race Fuels, Weld Wheels, Wiles Driveshafts, Wilwood Engineering.
