Babb dominates MARS/UMP Tri-State Trifecta opener at Highland Speedway

HIGHLAND, IL (August 25) – Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, IL takes night one of the Tri-State Trifecta at Highland Speedway Thursday night. Babb led every lap from his outside pole starting position and earned $5,000 for his efforts. Babb also picked up his second career win with the MARS series.

Scott James of Greendale, IL started eighth in the feature, but was unable to catch Babb in the closing laps and settled for second. Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR was the races Rod End Supply Hard Charger as he rallied from his fourteenth starting position to finish third. Jason Feger of Bloomington, IL and Brandon Sheppard from Berlin, IL rounded out the top five.
