Miller Visits Whynot Motorsports Park Takes Home 12th Place Finishby Josh Plant
Lynchburg, TN (August 23) - Daniel Miller and the D&D Motorsports crew traveled south this past weekend to Whynot Motorsports Park (Whynot, MS) for the MSCCS Topless 50 $2500 To-Win Event, bringing home a 12th place finish.
Miller and the D&D Motorsports team found themselves in unfamiliar territory this past week-end, as they had never made a visit to Whynot Motorsorts Park. The team unloaded and felt like they had a decent car after their hot lap session. In qualifying, Miller would go out in the fourth group amongst a stout field of cars. Miller laid down a qualifying time of 13.55 seconds, setting him up to start on the inside of row two of his heat race. Miller went on to finish sixth in his heat, earning him the 19th starting position in the feature.
Miller started on the grid 19th, on the move after the green flag dropped in the 50 lap event, he had worked his way up to the 12th position before a caution fell. On a restart Miller and the #10 of Rodney Wing got together bringing out the caution. Miller was sent to the tail end of the field to the 19th position. Restarting deep in the pack, Miller paced himself to march through the field. When the dust settled on the 50 lap event, Miller would race his way back to a 12th place finish.
The D&D Motorsports team will be at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, TN) this Saturday August 27th for the Tennessee SUPER SERIES $3000 To-Win event. Miller is your current Tenn. SUPER SERIES points leader with 472 points. Miller won the last TSS event held at Thunderhill Raceway on June 4th.
