Jason Covert Roars to Ninth Win of 2011 at Roaring Knob

York Haven, PA (August 17, 2011) Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and multi-time regional series champion Jason Covert of York Haven, PA have had a few solid seasons in the past couple years but the 2011 season is shaping up to be one of, if not the best season the pair have shared together since teaming up full time in 2006.

'Barry and the whole BK Motorsports team has been like family to me the past few years,' Covert said from his York Haven, PA home, 'without them and all the hard work they put into the cars each week, we wouldn't have the success we have. I have the easy job in driving it, but they put me in a car that is fast and reliable each week and I can't thank them enough.'

Covert's win this past Saturday, August 13, at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA, gives him a staggering nine total victories at four different facilities during the 2011 season. Jason blasted his way into the lead of the $4,000 to win Three State Flyers sanctioned event on lap 22 after starting the event in the 14th slot. Covert stretched his lead out right away and was unchallenged until a late caution flew with only three laps remaining. When racing resumed, Jason fended off a hard charging Jamie Lathroum for the win.

The BK Motorsports team's upcoming schedule is still up in the air but Hagerstown Speedway and Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway have been discussed for this upcoming Saturday, August 20. The following weekend, Friday and Saturday, August 26 and 27 has Covert at Winchester Speedway for the $10,000 to win 'Raye Vest Memorial'. 'The Raye Vest Memorial is a race that we will not miss,' Covert said, 'that's an important race for us and a lot of the racers in our area. We don't show up to that race for us, we go for Raye.'
