Brady Smith Enjoys Stellar Week by Posting a Win and Pair of Runner-Up Finishes

SOLON SPRINGS, Wisc. -  The Brady Smith Racing team was extremely busy from July 19-23, as they entered a trio of races in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Brady Smith was on top of his game, as he recorded his second feature win of 2011 and two additional runner-up finishes during the week. His trip to victory lane came last Wednesday night at the AMSOIL Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin. After starting twenty-first on the grid in the DART Challenge Series feature event, Brady blasted to the front of the field and earned the $2,000 payday for beating Jake Redetzke, John Kaanta, Adam Hensel, and Chad Mahder to the checkers!

A day earlier on Tuesday, the #2 team entered another $2,000 to win DART Challenge Series program at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minnesota. Brady led the majority of the main event at Ogilvie before winding up second behind only winner Adam Hensel. The busy week wrapped up on Friday and Saturday at the Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota. Brady ran fourth in his heat race on Friday night and later finished fifth in the semi-feature. When the $10,000 to win 'Governor's Cup' rolled off on Saturday evening, Brady improved three positions during the 100-lapper to finish second behind winner Jake Redetzke.

"It was a great week for our team and we had a lot of fun racing up here in this area," exclaimed Smith. "The race at Superior was awesome and our car was fantastic for the feature. We were able to work our way through the field and then took the lead with only a couple of laps to go. It is always cool to win so close to home and we'll try to duplicate that in a week or so at Shawano and Cedar Lake!"

Brady and his #2 team are slated to take the upcoming July 29-30 weekend off from racing action. They will not be relaxing; however, as they will be busy prepping their equipment for a huge week of racing next week in their home state of Wisconsin, which culminates with the $50,000 to win 'USA Nationals.' Brady plans to compete in high-profile races at the Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin and the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin.

Brady's upcoming schedule is as follows:
August 3 | Shawano (WI) Speedway, World of Outlaws | $10,000 to win
August 4 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, Corn Belt Clash | $5,000 to win
August 5-6 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, World of Outlaws | $50,000 to win
