Joe Martin Continues Winning Ways at Tri-City and Dog Hollow

Ringgold, PA (June 21, 2011) JM2 Motorsports and third year driver Joe Martin of Ringgold, PA captured his fourth and fifth wins of the 2011 season on Friday, June 10 at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA and on Friday, June 17 at Strongstown, PA's Dog Hollow Speedway.

June has been a busy month for Martin as he's competed in three different states and five different tracks while chasing weekly Fastrak points and Fastrak Northeast Touring Series points. Joe currently sits third in Fastrak Northeast points behind Fastrak standouts Max Blair and Mike Pegher Jr. after a seventh place finish at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV on Saturday, June 11 and a 15th place finish at McKean County Speedway in Smethport, PA on Saturday, June 18.

'It's been a really good season for us so far,' Martin said from his race shop. 'If someone would have told me that we'd have five wins through June, I wouldn't believe them.' 'Business' is about to pick up for the JM2 Motorsports team as the 'Cross the Borders Speedweek' is just around the corner for the Fastrak Northeast Touring Series.

'We're looking forward to the Speedweek after we go to Sharon this Saturday (June 25), we've been pretty good at Sharon this year (three wins at Sharon Speedway in 2011) and we feel confident that we can contend for another win there.' Joe continued, 'Then we'll get into the Speedweek and it seems the more we race, the better we get. Hopefully we can come out of that with a few good runs, maybe a win or two, and contend for the Northeast championship. Max (Blair) and Mike (Pegher Jr.) are really good and will be tough to beat, but if we can gain some momentum during the speedweek, we'll have a shot at it.'

Up next for Joe and the JM2 Motorsports team is Dog Hollow on Friday, June 24 and the Fastrak Northeast event at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, June 25. After that the team will hit the road for the 'Cross the Borders Speedweek' sanctioned by the Fastrak Northeast Touring Series.
