USMTS Modifieds Return to Monett Speedway on May 1
The "Baddest Modifieds on the Planet" return to the Monett Speedway this Sunday May 1st for their first of two appearance this season.
Fresh off their TV debut on the Versus Network with 'Dirt Knights', the USMTS (United States Modified Touring Series) will bring the best modified drivers in the country to Southwest Missouri.
In their lone appearance of 2010, forty drivers signed in to do battle at the 3/8 mile speedplant with local drivers dominating the action as Terry Phillips, Terry Beckham II, Jesse Stovall, Jeremy Payne and Johnny Bone Jr all claiming heat race wins. Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO would go on to win the A-Feature and claim the $3,000 winners share as well as an additonal $500 that Monett Speedway owner Randy Mooneyham offered up to any local driver that could win the race.
Adult Admission is $15, Kids 12-15 $5 and 11 and under are FREE. In addition to the Modifieds, the Sport Mods, Street Stock, Legends and Pure Stocks will also be racing. Pit Passes are $30. Hot Laps at 6:30pm, racing at 7:00pm. Don't miss it!
