Kyle Beard Returns to Action With Ark-Mo Double Shot Weekend

Trumann, AR (04/20/11) – After a weekend away from the track, Kyle Beard will take his #86 Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model into action in a pair of CCSDS and MARS co-sanctioned events in Arkansas and Missouri.

Beard Motorsports was last in action two weeks ago in the 2011 COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) openers. He opened tour's season on Friday, April 8th at Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas) as 26 cars signed in for battle in the $2,000 to win, 35 lap event. After a solid outing in his heat race, Kyle earned the tenth starting spot for the feature. Early in the main event, he was working the top side, when he made contact with the front stretch wall, which bent part of the right front, wheel assembly. Despite having a wounded mount he would keep charging hard on the topside, and by the time that the checkered flag dropped, Beard was credited with a sixth place finish.

Saturday night, April 9th found Beard Motorsports making the short trip to Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) for Round #2 of the 2011 CCSDS tour. Thirty Super Late Models entered the event, and early in the night Kyle would find himself behind the eight ball after struggling in time trials. Via his time trials woes, he started at the back of a heat race, but would charge through the field to a fourth place finish, which left him short of a transfer to the main event. As a result, he started on the front row of a b-main, which he won in commanding fashion by over a car length to lock into the 14th starting spot for the 35 lap feature. Early in the feature, Kyle was riding the high-line to the top ten before a flat tire shortly before the race's midway point forced him pitside. He would rejoin the tail of the field, and over the remainder of the event would rocket his way back to a ninth place finish. Kyle is tied for fifth in the early season CCSDS standings. Full weekend results are available at www.COMPDirt.com .

On the heels of the season opening, pair of top ten finishes with the CCSDS, Kyle will jump back in the ring this weekend as the tour goes head-to-head with the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) in a pair of events. The weekend gets underway on Friday, April 22nd at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) with a $2,000 to win/$300 to start event before moving on to West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri) on Saturday, April 23rd for a $3,000 to win/$400 to start program.
