Klint Byars Claims First Win of 2011 in Magnolia Opener



Carrollton, Mississippi (03/28/11) –Klint Byars claimed his first win of the year in his #5 Southern Belle/K&K Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model on Saturday night in the Magnolia Motor Speedway season opener.

Klint Byars broke through with his first win of 2011 on Saturday night as he topped a field of 22 Super Late Models to win the season opener at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, MS). Via time trials, Klint locked into the fifth starting position for the 20 lap feature. Early in the event, he would begin working his way through the pack and on lap 7 he would rocket to the top spot. The 23 year old racer would never looked back as he raced to his first win of the year and second career Super Late Model win at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

This Saturday, the team will make the trip to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for the season opening event for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model tour. Klint plans to contend for not only the tour's Rookie of the Year title but also the series' championship in 2011. This Saturday's event will pay $2,500 to win and $300 to start for the 50 lap race.
