Jason Covert to Open Season at Historic Williams Grove Speedway

York Haven, PA (March 24, 2011) Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and the three time Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Champion and now two time Three State Flyers Series Champion Jason Covert, will open their 2011 season this upcoming Friday, March 25 at the famous Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA and a $2,000 to-win event at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, VA on Saturday, March 26.

Jason and his Barry Klinedinst owned Pre-Mach, Inc., Red Wing Shoes, Hershey’s Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis Monte Carlo #43A worked the bugs and beat the rust off this past Sunday at Hagerstown Speedway’s open practice in Hagerstown, MD. ‘I was very happy with the car, it’s the driver that is rusty,’ laughed Covert. ‘Even so, we’re very excited to get the season started; we have a couple new sponsors this year including Keyser Manufacturing and Jakes Custom Carts. I need to thank Scott Keyser and Brian Daugherty for all of their help this off-season and look forward to working with them this year, as well as Jakes Carts. They helped me out with getting a new driver suit that looks fantastic. I can’t forget the guys at American Racer Tires, those guys offer such a great product and great service, without them, I don’t know if we’d be the race team we are today. All of our sponsors and supporters are greatly appreciated.’

‘Also appreciated is what our Military are doing around the world to keep us safe and doing what we want to do over here in the United States,’ Jason emphatically stated, ‘I have a new found respect for those people as my 19 year old daughter Brittany is in the Air Force. So I want to thank Britt and all of the other soldiers out there risking their lives for us and our freedom.’

The BK Motorsports Team is set to open their season this Friday, March 25 at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA and Saturday, March 26 at Winchester Speedway for a $2,000 to-win unsanctioned event. They will then head to Virginia Motor Speedway for an open practice session on Saturday, April 2 and back to Williams Grove and Winchester on April 8 and 9. On April 15 and 16 the team will be back in Jamaica, VA for the $25,000 to-win ‘Commonwealth 100’ sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at Virginia Motor Speedway.
