Gregg Satterlee Set to Open Season at Lernerville and Mercer

Rochester Mills, PA (March 14, 2011) After a very successful 2010 racing season that included finishing third in points with the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series, seven wins, and close to 60 events, Gregg Satterlee and the Gregg Satterlee Racing team will open their 2011 racing season on Friday, March 25 at Lernerville Speedway and Saturday, March 26 at Mercer Raceway Park for a $3,000 to-win United Force Race Championship (UFO) event.

‘2010 was a good season for us,’ Gregg said via telephone, ‘we didn’t have as many wins as we did in 2009 (twelve in ’09, seven in ‘10) but we did a little more traveling and competed against some different competition. Running the All Star Series was a good deal for us and to pick up a win with them was awesome. We’re proud of what we accomplished last season and hope to build on what we’ve done the past few years.’

A full 2011 schedule has not been determined yet but the schedule should look pretty similar to the past few years. ‘We’ll probably do the same thing we’ve done the past few years,’ Gregg said. ‘That kind of schedule works well for us and gives us the freedom to do what we want. We’ll do as many bigger shows as we can like Eldora, the Firecracker, the Dirt Track World Championship, and the World Finals in Charlotte and hit a lot of the World of Outlaws and Lucas Oil Series shows that are in the area. We’re looking forward to the season getting started.’

Gregg and his Gregg Satterlee Racing team will kick off the year on Friday, March 25 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA for their season opening event. The team will then head to Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, PA for the $3,000 to-win, UFO sanctioned ‘Chiller Thriller’.
