THE HEADKNOCKER RETURNS TO RACING ACTION IN 2011

Petey "The Headknocker" Ivey, of Union, South Carolina returns to Super Late Model racing in the 2011 season. Teaming with car owners Bobby and Johnny Wilson and crew chief David Weekly, Ivey is looking forward to returning to his familiar place back behind the wheel.

During the 2010 season Ivey put his 25+ years of racing experience to work as a guide to his 16 year old son, Trent, as he stepped up his racing effort in his first year of crate model racing after a few years of honing his skills in the four cylinder classes. Trent will again return to action in the crate models in the 2011 season.

Ivey had entertained thoughts of making a return to driving last year, but decided to wait until just the right opportunity presented itself. With the father and son Wilson team, and Weekly turning the wrenches, Ivey believes he has found just that opportunity.

With a brand new Rocket chassis powered by Clements Racing Engines, and sponsored by Cannons Supply (Greenville, SC) and Professional Restoration (Fountain Inn, SC) the team looks to the fast approaching start to the new season with high hopes.
